Students can be assigned to TOK teachers in a number of different ways, or even select their own supervisor.
Assign TOK Teacher individually via the TOK worksheet
Via the Year Group > TOK Exhibition/ TOK Essay, click on the student's name to navigate to their worksheet.
On the right-hand side, you will see the current project advisor of the student, if one has been assigned.
Click Edit Prompt to select the new teacher.
Select the teacher via the dropdown, Save Changes.
Repeat these steps in the TOK Essay tab of the same student.
Assign TOK Teacher in bulk via a Year Group > Members tab.
Via Members > EX Teachers/ TOK Teachers
TOK Teachers can be assigned to students via the Ex Teachers/ TOK Teachers tab found under the Members tab of the relevant year group.
You can assign the same teacher for all the students in the year group by choosing any of the existing Teachers on the account from the drop-down menu next to the first student's name. Click the down-pointing arrow.
Repeat these steps in the TOK Advisors tab.
Bulk Assign TOK Teachers via Import
You can bulk assign students to teachers via a Year Group > Browse All Year Groups > Students > Bulk Assign Students.
Bulk assigns students to advisors. Start by downloading our CSV template, save your spreadsheet as a CSV file and upload your CSV file. Click Bulk Assign once complete.
Note: If you have any difficulty with the import, please send the CSV file via Submit a request and our data team will further investigate.
Allow Students to Select their TOK Supervisor
Via their TOK Exhibition and TOK Essay Worksheets
If students have not been assigned a TOK Teacher, they can select their supervisor while filling in their Theory of Knowledge prompt. The student can navigate to their Year Group Manager > TOK Exhibition/TOK Essay > Edit Prompt/Prescribed Title. They can fill in the proposal fields, and select the TOK Teacher list from the dropdown, Save Changes.
