Track CAS Progress and Generate CAS Reports
Learn how to track CAS progress, export CAS summaries to Excel, generate CAS reports in bulk or individually, and access saved reports in ManageBac+.
ManageBac+ provides several tools to help schools monitor CAS progress and generate reports throughout a student's CAS journey. From the Year Group CAS area, coordinators can review progress, export summary data, and create reports for students.
This guide explains the available CAS tracking functions, what is included in the Excel export, how to customise CAS report templates, and where students, parents, and staff can access generated reports.
Overview
The CAS tile within a year group provides a central place for tracking student progress and generating summaries and reports. From this area, schools can access tools such as Export to Excel and Generate Reports, along with other functions including Manage Email Reminders, Submit Term CAS Evaluation, IB Moderator Access, Approve All Experiences, and Reset All Progress Indicators.
CAS Progress reports can be customised, generated, stored in ManageBac+, and shared with students and parents. Reports can be created at any time and as often as needed throughout the student's CAS journey.

- Continue to the template options to customise the report before generating it.
This workflow is used to prepare reports for all students in the year group in bulk. If you only need to generate a report for one student, use the individual report workflow instead.
Customise CAS Report Templates
CAS Roster > Generate Reports
- After opening Generate Reports, review the report template settings.
- Select the report start and end dates carefully.
- Set the general template options, including term name, report name, coordinator details, advisor display, notification settings, file name format, and signature upload.
- Customise the report descriptions and decide which CAS fields should appear in the report.
- Open the Progress Descriptors tab to set custom descriptors.
- Click Save Changes to keep the template for later use or Generate Report to publish the PDF reports.
Only experiences, interview notes, and supervisor review comments that are added, started, and ending between the selected report start and end dates will populate in the CAS reports. To exclude an experience from the report, archive the experience as needed.
General template options include:
- Term Name, Report Name, Coordinator Name, and Title
