Whether you're starting from square one or you're looking for a refresher, we've got you covered! This guide highlights some of our most useful tips for getting started with ManageBac as a student in the IB Primary Years Programme.
Important
Students are able to access classes, their assigned year group, and simple/activity groups they wish to join. For classes, they can view the summary of unit plans covered in the class, submit work to the assignment/task dropbox, post and view discussion and view the class Files and Calendar tabs.
1. Signing-in & Accessing ManageBac
To protect your ManageBac data and class records, we recommend to create a Password that is hard to guess and generally easy to remember. Feel free to use any suggested passwords or random passwords generated by your browser, or create your own. A pass phrase of 3 or 4 random words with spaces in between could be considered hard to guess but relatively easy to remember. We do not recommend to save your password to any browser on computers that are not your personal devices.

- Accessing via iOS or Android mobile App
2. Navigating ManageBac
The left main menu is the same or similar for all students. The default landing page is your Dashboard. Each student will see personalised information on the Dashboard based on your Year Group (ie IB PYP Year 3) and Classes (ie IB PYP Homeroom) you may belong to. The centre panel of the Dashboard shows a calendar, upcoming deadlines for your classes.
Use the top of the page global search bar or QuickAdd menu for shortcuts from any page in your ManageBac account. On mobile, you can also scan and submit coursework.

3. Daily Use
ManageBac provides access for you to manage worksheets based on your programme, where you can add experiences, upload reflections & evidence, and communicate with your advisors. Note, these are customisable for your school, and may be used for PYP Exhibition, Action, or other projects.
You may also find a list of subject classes you are a part of, where you can view unit and task details, upload coursework and view grades, find class files and relevant links your teachers have prepared for you.

4. Help & Support
For any issues with school related information, such as you need your email address changed, you need to be added to additional classes, questions over task requirements or when your task is due etc, please contact your teachers and advisors directly. You can view a list of Key Contacts on the right-hand side panel when logged in to ManageBac.
