This update and addition allows administrators to include non-ManageBac reports in student profiles by uploading PDFs directly in ManageBac via the Reports History pages. This ensures all student records can be consolidated in one place and reduces the dependency on our support team during reporting season.
Uploading External Report Cards
We have introduced a new Upload External Reports functionality via Insights > Reporting > Report History > ‘More’ .
This opens a new page where the newly created Report Card details must be selected.
Select the (1) Programme, (2) Academic Term, (3) Grade Levels to be included and set the (4) Report Title and (5) Reporting Date (the current date will be used as Report Card release date if no future release date is set). Then click (6) Save Changes & Upload Reports to create the parent Report Card entry.
Please note: The "Report Title” field will determine both the parent Report Card title and the title visible to students, parents, and teachers in the student profile for the uploaded report. The original file name will still appear when previewing or downloading the uploaded report, so it is recommended that the uploaded file names are meaningful to parents and students - for example in the format of:
"[Report Title]-[Full Student Name/ID].pdf"
Once changes are saved - you will be redirected to the Student roster view that allows uploading individual PDFs (up to 100MB) for each student, with validations for file type (only PDF files can be selected for upload) and size (only PDF files less than 100MB can be selected).
Uploaded reports include Preview, Download, and Delete options.
Viewing External Reports
All externally uploaded reports are tagged with an “External” label across the platform (Report History, Profile, etc.), with an info icon noting: “This report was manually uploaded – grades here do not show on transcripts.”
Please note: External report cards will be available to Parents and Students unless a scheduled date for release in the future is set. External reports are excluded from transcripts and individual report card update generation.
Externally uploaded report cards are visible to students and parents as PDF previews. They cannot be viewed as web view reports like report cards generated with multi-curricula report card templates.
