In ManageBac+, go to Settings > Develop > API Manager (Legacy), select Add New Token with the read-only permissions Parents Evening System needs, and copy the token. Then in Parents Evening System, go to Settings > Data Import Source, choose ManageBac+ and paste the token. What is Parents Evening System?
Parents Evening System (also called Meet the Teacher in some countries) is a scheduling tool for parents' evenings. It reduces the admin work for administrators and school leaders. Parents book appointments themselves, so they do not need to rely on their child, phone the school or wait to see the teacher. Schools can also monitor attendance, increase parent engagement and export schedules. Learn more about Parents Evening System.
How the integration works
Parents can book appointments at any time, on any device. The integration uses the ManageBac+ API.
- Quick onboarding: teacher, parent, student and class information transfers straight away, so your school can start using Parents Evening System immediately.
- One-way data sync: information syncs from ManageBac+ to Parents Evening System.
Once a schedule is set and parents are notified, parents sign in to Parents Evening System to see their children's classes and teachers and book times.
Set up the integration in ManageBac+
First, create an API token.

Signed in as an administrator, go to Settings > Develop > API Manager (Legacy) and select Add New Token.

Select the token's permissions. Parents Evening System needs the read-only permissions shown below.

Go back to the API Manager (Legacy) page and select the clipboard icon next to the new token to copy it. You will paste it into Parents Evening System in the next section.
Set up the integration in Parents Evening System
Sign in to Parents Evening System as an administrator.

If this is your first time, the Getting Started wizard will guide you. Otherwise, select Settings in the left navigation bar, then Data Import Source, and choose ManageBac+ from the list of school information systems.

Enter the details you copied earlier in the box that appears.
Set the ManageBac+ API Base URL to api.managebac.com. If your school is in China, use api.managebac.cn.
Sync user data
To load the latest data from ManageBac+ at any time, select Data in the Parents Evening System navigation bar, then the sync button. The sync covers student, parent, teacher and class data.
