Service as Action and Service Learning are now Community Engagement
ManageBac+ now uses the name Community Engagement for MYP Service as Action and for Service Learning in the CP and other programmes. The worksheets, activities, reflections, hours and reports are the same; only the name has changed.

Why the name changed
The IB's MYP updates describe Community Engagement as engagement with the community, decided together with it, rather than service done for it. ManageBac+ follows the IB's vocabulary so the platform matches what schools use in their programmes.
What stays the same
- Your existing activities, reflections, evidence, supervisor reviews and hours.
- Advisors, worksheets and year group settings.
- Progress exports and reports.
Some screenshots in older guides still show Service as Action or Service Learning. The steps are the same.
