Introducing ManageBac+

Why the name changed

ManageBac has supported schools delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) for over 15 years. Over that time the platform has grown to support a wider range of curricula, school needs and school types.

The new name reflects this wider functionality and keeps the ManageBac identity. The "+" stands for more features, more connectivity and more ways to support educators, students and parents. Our commitment to the IB stays the same.

You will see the new name and logo over the coming months as we update our website and other key places.

What existing schools need to do

Nothing. ManageBac+ is included at no extra cost for current schools.

What this means for IB schools

Your experience stays the same. ManageBac+ remains the only platform fully integrated with:

• IB eCoursework and IBIS exam registration
• Official IB forms, curriculum and assessment information
• IB-specific study and revision support

What is new in ManageBac+

Interface and navigation

ManageBac+ will have a more streamlined interface and simpler navigation for educators, students and parents, so you can move around the platform more quickly.

Integrations

We are working on more integrations with third-party platforms, including Google Classroom and Microsoft OneDrive. We are also improving data sharing across our suite of platforms.

Portfolios and Class Streams

• Portfolios: a new student portfolio that shows student progress across their whole time at school.
• Class Streams (launching): a space where educators can organise classroom resources, activities and communication.

Mobile

ManageBac+ will be designed mobile-first, so students and parents can access assignments, track progress and communicate with teachers on mobile devices.

AI Writing Assistant

The AI Writing Assistant helps teachers refine tasks, unit plans and reports. It is included at no extra cost.
