What is Zoom?
Zoom is a cloud platform for video, voice, content sharing, and chat runs across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems.
How does ManageBac integrate with Zoom?
Zoom can be integrated into ManageBac via our Online Lesson tool, which can be accessed in the following places:
- Stream & Resources of any unit
- Class Calendar
- Quick Add button on the left navigation menu
With this Online Lessons feature, we aim to provide teachers, students, and parents with a centralized calendar where assignments, tasks, and online lesson locations for all classes can be accessed. When you schedule an Online Lesson, you can integrate your Zoom to automatically generate a meeting link. Students will be able to access this meeting link via their ManageBac calendar, or via the subject class by clicking on the relevant unit.

The same Zoom integration that is allowing for Online Lessons to be created and linked to Zoom is now enabled for Calendar > Events. Add a new Event to the Calendar using the Add Event button to see the updated Event interface with Create Zoom Meeting button. Events differentiated for different students will show and allow only linked students to join the Zoom call.

How to set up your Zoom Integration
If using a school Zoom system, the school admin should first approve the ManageBac app on Zoom Marketplace for the school's account.
Via a unit's Stream & Resources, Class calendar, or Quick Add, click on Online Lesson. Ensure the Online Lesson Location is set to Zoom, and click on the Click here link to pair your account.
You will be taken to Zoom and asked to log in. Once you log in, your account will be paired, and you will be taken back to ManageBac.
Integration Questions and Support
Does each teacher need to have their own Zoom account?
We strongly recommend each teacher have their own Zoom account in order to use the integration. If using a shared Zoom, there is a risk of scheduling conflicting meetings at the same time.
