Managing your calendars
For all users who want to find calendars, add events and subscribe from another calendar app.
| I want to | Go to |
|---|---|
| See all my events and deadlines | Dashboard calendar |
| See or add year group events | Year group calendar |
| See or add class events | Class calendar |
| See or add group events | Group calendar |
| Sync to Google Calendar, iCal or Outlook | Subscribe to a calendar |
| Subscribe on my phone | Subscribe in the mobile app |
Calendar types
- Dashboard: all events and deadlines that apply to you. For example, a DP 2 student taking DP Mathematics and DP Biology sees events and deadlines for DP 2, DP Mathematics and DP Biology. You can also add your own Personal Events here.
- Year Group: events and deadlines for one year group (for example, the DP 2 calendar).
- Class: events and deadlines for one class (for example, DP Biology).
- Group: events and deadlines for one group (for example, Basketball Team).
Dashboard calendar
Go to My Workspace > Daily/Weekly Calendar. It shows all events and deadlines from the groups and classes you are in.
If you cannot see the calendar, use Customise Dashboard to switch on or rearrange the Daily/Weekly calendar widgets.
Events you add with Add Personal Event are not visible to anyone else.
Year group calendar
Select a year group, then select Calendar (it may be in the More menu).
This calendar includes all class deadlines for the year group, so you can see if teachers are setting major assignments and tasks on the same day or week. It also shows events and deadlines set for the year group itself.
- Administrators: select Add to Calendar > Add Deadline or Add Event.
- Teachers: select Import Existing Events > Add New Event.
Class calendar
Select a class, then select Calendar (it may be in the More menu). All assignments and tasks for the class appear here.
Teachers and administrators can select Add New Event, Add New Deadline or Add New Online Lesson.
You cannot add tasks from the class calendar. Tasks appear here when you add them through Tasks & Units, Gradebook or the QuickAdd menu for the class.
Group calendar
Go to Groups and select a group.
Select Calendar.
-
Select Add to Calendar, then Add New Event or Add New Deadline.
Group events and deadlines do not appear in Year Groups. They do appear in group members' Daily or Weekly Calendars in My Workspace and in their full Dashboard calendar.

I get an authentication prompt when I subscribe on my iPhone
This may be an iOS security measure. To get past it, enter the credentials for the default calendar account on the device. This might be your Apple ID or another provider.
As a workaround, on your iPhone go to Settings
> Calendar > Accounts > Add Account > Other. Tap Add Subscribed Calendar and enter the direct URL for the calendar.
