Quick answer

Go to Groups > Browse all Groups, search for the group by name or description and select the Join icon. The group then appears in your My Groups tab. You cannot join or leave a locked group.

For MYP students who want to find, join or leave Community Engagement activity groups.

⚠️ Service as Action is now Community Engagement

ManageBac+ now uses Community Engagement in place of Service as Action (SA). Some screenshots and labels in this guide still show the old name, and your school may still show Service as Action or SA. The steps are the same. If you are not sure which one your school uses, ask your coordinator.

See your groups

Groups shows the activity groups you are a member of.

When you join a group, it is added to your My Groups tab and you can post events, photos, messages or files in that group.

If a group is locked, you cannot join or leave it.

After joining a group, you can select it from a list when you create a new Community Engagement activity in your worksheet, and the fields fill in automatically. See how to add Community Engagement activities.
