How AssessPrep Online Assessments Submissions show up in the ManageBac Gradebook
With the newly updated integration between ManageBac and AssessPrep, teachers can now create new and link existing AssessPrep online assessments using ManageBac Tasks.
Pre-requisites:
- A task must be created in a ManageBac class and an AssessPrep Assessment Linked to it. For a Step-by-Step guide, click here
- A Student has successfully submitted their online assessment on AssessPrep. For more info, refer to this guide here.
Once the student Submits their online assessment (test) on AssessPrep, their submission data is automatically synced back to the ManageBac task under the dropbox submission area for the ease of grading and feedback.
The teachers can click on the time icon under Annotation as shown in the screenshot below to view their submissions.
Once clicked, the teachers can view the submissions on AssessPrep within ManageBac's split-screen grade book. They can view their responses as well as PDF/Image uploads for each question. On the grading page, the teachers can navigate through the student responses.
Some Useful Tools:
-Teachers can also use AssessPrep's built-in text annotator to highlight and give feedback to the student's text responses.
-Explanations ( if added while authoring the test)will be available alongside each question for your ease of grading.
Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ's):
1) How can I reset the submissions for the students on ManageBac, if I want them to give a chance to submit their responses again?
To reset the submissions, you would need to navigate to AssessPrep's Grading tab, click on the down pointed arrow next to the student's name and Reset Submission button as highlighted. Once clicked, the same will sync back on ManageBac.
Grading a DP Points Based Online Assessment (Test) via Managebac
Once the student Submits their assessment on AssessPrep, their submission data is automatically synced back to the ManageBac task under the dropbox submission area for the ease of grading and feedback.
Navigating to the submission:
The teachers can click on the time icon under Annotation as shown in the screenshot below to view their submissions.
Using Split-Screen Gradebook to grade and give feedback:
Once clicked, the teachers can view the submissions on AssessPrep within ManageBac's split-screen grade book. They can view their responses as well as PDF/Image uploads for each question. Here the teachers the teachers can navigate through the student responses.
Publishing the points to ManageBac Gradebook:
On the grading screen, you can navigate to different questions, sections using the buttons on the top and give marks and comments ( optional) for each individual question answered by the student.
Once all questions have been graded, the teachers can click on the "Publish" button.
Note- Publishing the grades also makes the assessment points and the assessment feedback visible to the students and parents.
Grading an MYP Criteria Based Online Assessment (Test) via ManageBac
Once the student Submits their Online Assessment on AssessPrep, their submission data is automatically synced back to the ManageBac task under the dropbox submission area for the ease of grading and feedback.
The teachers can click on the Clock icon as shown in the screenshot below to view their submissions.
Once clicked, the teachers can view the submissions on AssessPrep within ManageBac's split-screen grade book. They can view their responses as well as PDF/Image uploads for each question. On the left-hand grading view, the teachers can use the Next, Back and Section buttons to navigate the responses as highlighted.
For the MYP Criteria Achievement based submissions, the teachers would need to add total the achievement levels on ManageBac first along with the comment.
Once added these will sync back on the AssessPrep gradebook.
