Quick answer

Schools submit CAS samples from their CAS roster in IB Moderators Access. Moderators sign in and open the Schools tab to see the schools assigned to them, then select a school and a student to review their CAS work. Moderator access is granted by the IB only, not by ManageBac+ Support.

For schools submitting CAS samples for moderation, and for IB moderators and Regional Staff managers who review them.

Access to IB Moderators must be granted directly by the IB. You cannot create your own account or request access from ManageBac+ Support.

School summary

When you select a school, the default view shows, for each student:

  • the number of outcomes they are targeting across their activities
  • the count of evidence they have submitted
  • the number of meetings held to date

An exemplar label appears next to the student the school identified, if any. On the right you can see an overview of the school and when the submission was received.

Use the dropdown menu to change the view. You can see progress by experience type, and planned and completed hours if the school has enabled hours.

Review by student

  1. Select a student to open a summary of their CAS work. This is the student's CAS worksheet. It shows each experience, planned and addressed outcomes, hours if enabled and a timeline of experiences. CAS documents and interviews are further down the page.

  2. Check the Outcomes chart. Orange bars count the experiences targeting each learning outcome. Green bars count the experiences completed with evidence. Over the programme, the green bars gradually catch up with the orange ones.
