Important Note
Access to IB Moderators must be granted directly from the IB. It is not possible to create your own account or request access from ManageBac Support.
School submission of CAS Samples for Moderation
Schools are able to submit CAS samples for IB Moderation directly via ManageBac via their CAS roster > IB Moderators Access.
They are prompted to select candidates and optionally identify an Exemplar student, as well as add an authorization letter. A draft template is provided for them.
If you are a Moderator, when you log in you will be able to find a list of assigned schools via the Schools tab. You will not be able to view any other schools you are not assigned to.
Search for school(s)
As a Regional Staff manager or Moderator, you can easily review CAS samples from the Schools tab. This tab will show the schools, which have submitted CAS samples in your working region. You can search for the school by name, and filter for Session, Region, and Country.
Regional Staff managers can assign Moderators to individual schools. Moderators will only be able to view assigned schools.

Summary by Outcomes, Reflections, and Meetings
After selecting the school, the default view will show the number of outcomes that students are targeting across their activities, the count of evidence that they've submitted, and the number of meetings that have been held to date. An exemplar label will show next to the student identified by the school during submission, if applicable.
On the right-hand side you can view an overview of the school, and when the submission was received
You can adjust the views from the dropdown menu, which will allow you to view planned & completed hours (if enabled by the school), and overall progress by experience type.

Review by Student
The Outcomes chart shows how their experiences are balanced across the CAS learning outcomes. The orange bars provide a count of the number of experiences that are targeting each particular outcome, whereas the green bars indicate the number of experiences completed with evidence. Over the course of the program, the green bars will gradually overlap the orange ones as the students complete their activities.
For IBA schools, the school will star up to 10 reflection samples and evidence that best reflect each student's CAS portfolio. You can then filter to show evidence for a specific experience or filter by a learning outcome on the right side of the screen.
Clicking on to an experience will direct you to the individual experience summary, where you can view the full details including dates, supervisor information & reviews, and any notes and interviews.
Click on the additional tabs to view CAS questions and Reflections & Evidence. At the bottom right you can navigate between different experiences via the dropdown.
