Find the message you see in the list below. Most errors mean the student already has an IBIS record: add their IBIS personal code in Plans > Manage IBIS Personal Codes and select Register Now again. If the student was registered by hand in IBIS or at another school, finish the registration in IBIS.
What each error means when you register Diploma candidates in IBIS through ManageBac+, and how to fix it.

Errors and fixes
Candidate exists in another school
Candidate exists in another school and cannot be registered again on ManageBac+. Please register via IBIS.
Why: the student transferred from another school, where they were registered as an MYP candidate or for anticipated exams.
Fix: ask the previous school for the student's IBIS personal code (for example dmg891), then register the student directly in IBIS.
Candidate already exists in IBIS
Candidate already exists in IBIS. Please fill out the Candidate's Personal Code from IBIS and try again.
Why: your school registered the student before, for an anticipated exam or MYP moderation.
Find the student's personal code in IBIS.

In ManageBac+, go to the DP year group Plans, open the Details panel and select Manage IBIS Personal Codes and enter the code.

Select Register via IBIS in the same panel, then select Register Now next to the student.
Candidate is already registered in IBIS
Candidate is already registered in IBIS and can not be registered again from ManageBac+.
Why: the student was registered by hand in IBIS for this session before ManageBac+ sent their registration.
Fix: make all changes for this student directly in IBIS.
Registration withdrawn for outstanding debts
The ability to register candidates for this session has been withdrawn as your school has outstanding debts over 90 days old. Please contact Finance via myaccount@ibo.org for further discussion.
Why: the IB blocks registration for schools with payments overdue by more than 90 days. Every student shows this message.
Fix: contact IB Finance at myaccount@ibo.org. Faria Support cannot change this.
Value is not facet-valid
Value '' is not facet-valid with respect to pattern '[a-z]{3}[0-9]{3}' for type '#AnonType_candidateSession'.
Why: the student was registered before for MYP certified grades or the Personal Project, so IBIS needs their personal code.
Fix: enter the student's IBIS personal code (see above) and register again. If it still fails, register the student directly in IBIS.
Subjects element is not complete
Content of element 'subjects' is not complete. One of '{subject_details}' is expected.
Why: at least one exam subject was added as an Additional Subject, leaving a gap in the six Diploma subjects. Additional subjects do not count towards the Diploma.
Fix: make sure six subjects are listed as exam subjects, or that DP 1 anticipated results are applied to the DP 2 subjects, then register again.
Candidate needs a verified email
The registration cannot proceed. IBIS requires 2026 candidates to have a verified email.
Why: the student has not confirmed the email address in their Candidate Personal Info.
Fix: ask the student to open the IB Exam Details Email Confirmation email and select the link. Once confirmed, register again.
IBIS status codes
If IBIS rejects a registration, ManageBac+ shows its status code. Fix the subjects or details in the student's Plans worksheet, or in IBIS, and register again.
