In a Group 4 science class, open the Practical Activities tab and select Add Labs to record practical work. Mark labs in Gradebook > Practical Activities, and export the record of experiments from the Details panel.

Add a lab or practical activity
Open your Group 4 class and select the Practical Activities tab.

In the Details panel, select Add Labs. To reuse labs from earlier years, select Add Resources instead.
Enter the Title and Topic, and choose the ICT used, location, type and Levels (HL, SL or both).
Choose whether to show it on the record of experimental programme, and whether to exclude its grades from PSOW.
Set the Investigation Date, Due Date and Duration, and add details or files.
To collect lab reports, tick Dropbox Coursework Submission. If your school uses Turnitin, you can also tick Turnitin Feedback Studio. Then save.
The Practical Activities tab also shows an hours progress chart (planned and completed SL and HL hours) and each student's marks for every lab.
Collect lab reports
Select a lab on the Practical Activities tab. If the dropbox is on, the Dropbox section lists each student with their files and, if enabled, their Turnitin similarity. Use Lock All Submissions to stop further uploads.
Students upload their report from the lab under the class's Practical Activities tab. If the report has graphs or tables, PDF works best for annotating.
Mark practical activities
Go to the class Gradebook and select the Practical Activities tab. Choose a lab from the list at the top, then enter marks against the criteria and add comments for each student. Changes save automatically.
Assess the Scientific Investigation
The Scientific Investigation is set up as an Internal Assessment task. Open it from the IA menu of the class, under Scientific Investigation (Internal assessment). The task page shows the IB assessment criteria, and you assess each student from Open in Gradebook.

Collaborative Science Projects
On the Practical Activities tab, select Collaborative Science Projects to see each student's project title and reflective statement. This view is read-only for teachers. Students add their title and reflective statement from their own view of the class.
To download every reflection sheet for the class, select Export All Reflection Sheets. Admins can download them for a whole year group from Year Group > Files by selecting Export all Science Reflection Forms in the Details panel. ManageBac+ builds a zip file with a folder for each Group 4 class.
Export the record of experiments (PSOW)
On the Practical Activities tab, open the Details panel and select Export Record of Experiments. In mixed HL and SL classes, choose Export SL or Export HL.
