Students open the guides from the Guides panel on the right of their worksheet. Coordinators edit the guide content and upload school handbooks in Settings > IB Diploma (or IB Career-related) > Guides.

For coordinators who want students to use the built-in guides to the IB Diploma and Career-related Programme core, and to tailor them for their school.

What students see

Each core worksheet, such as CAS, Extended Essay or Theory of Knowledge, has a Guides icon on the right of the page. It opens the Guides panel, which links to the Quick Start Guide for that component.

The guide opens as QuickStart Guides, with a table of contents on the left. Students can move between sections such as the purpose and process of CAS, the learning outcomes, the timeline and reflection.

Change the guide content

  1. Go to Settings, open IB Diploma (or IB Career-related) and select Guides.

  2. Choose a tab, for example CAS, Extended Essay or Theory of Knowledge.

  3. Edit the introduction in the text editor, and open each section (for example Purpose, Process or Assessment) to change its text. Use Add Section for your own content.

  4. Select Update to save your changes.

Add your school handbook

Upload your own handbook on a component tab, for example CAS Handbook on the CAS tab, or on the Handbooks tab. Use the guides alongside your school's IB handbooks as a supplementary resource.
