This guide walks you through the key ways to manage your profile settings in ManageBac+. From choosing your landing page to updating your personal details, everything is accessible from your profile.

ManageBac+ allows users to personalise their interface, update personal information, and control how they receive notifications.
All settings are accessible via your profile menu, giving you full control over your experience.

Step-by-Step Navigation
Updating Landing Page Preferences (**Profile Icon > Personalisation**)
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Personalisation.
- Choose your preferred landing page: My Workspace, Calendar, or Portfolio.
- Save your changes.
Editing Personal Information (**Profile Picture > Manage Your Profile > Edit Profile**)
- Click your profile picture.
- Select Manage Your Profile.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Update your personal details and save changes.
Please note you may not be able to edit personal details if restricted by your administrator.
Updating Your Email (Profile > **Edit Profile**)
- Locate the Email field.
- Enter your new email address.
- Click Save Changes.
- Confirm the update via the email sent to your inbox.
Changing Your Password (**Login Page > Forgot your password OR Profile > Change Password**)
- From the login page, click Forgot your password?.
- Enter your registered email address.
- Click Send Reset Email.
- Follow the instructions in your email.
- Alternatively, go to your profile and select Change Password.
Changing Account Theme (**Manage Your Profile > Personalisation > Themes**)
- Open your profile menu.
- Select Manage Your Profile.
- Go to Personalisation.
- Choose a theme under Themes.
Updating Account Language (**Manage Your Profile > UI Language**)
- Go to Manage Your Profile.
- Locate UI Language.
- Select your preferred language from the dropdown.
- Allow the page to refresh.
Setting Notification Preferences (**Profile Icon > Notification Preferences**)
- Click your avatar or initials.
- Select Notification Preferences.
- Enable or disable notifications for messages, emails, web, and mobile.
- Click Save Preferences.
Here you can choose whether to receive notifications and/or emails regarding a variety of features on ManageBac+.
- Enabling Message Notifications will send notifications to your ManageBac+ notifications area, which can be accessed via the
icon next to your name.
- Enabling E-mails will send notifications to the e-mail address associated with your ManageBac+ account.
- Enabling Web Notifications will send notifications to your ManageBac+ notifications area, which can be accessed via the
icon next to your name.
- Enabling Mobile Notifications will send notifications to your mobile device if you have downloaded the ManageBac+ app.
- When you have finished making changes to your notification preferences, click Save Preferences.
The Parent Digest, available for all parents, will provide parents with a weekly summary of their students' activity over the past week and upcoming tasks & deadlines. You can set the frequency of web notifications and emails to either Weekly or None.

- Use a strong password or passphrase for better security.
- Enable mobile notifications to stay updated on the go.

Why can’t I edit my personal information?
Your school administrator may have locked profile editing. Contact your school for assistance.
What happens after I change my email?
You will receive a confirmation email. You must verify it before the change is applied.
What are the password requirements?
Passwords must be at least 10 characters and include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Cannot use previously used password. Enter a strong password by using four common random words or a combination of characters, capitalisation and numbers or symbols. Please note, the password will not save until all requirements are met and you see a green box.
