Quick answer:

ManageBac+ signs you out after one hour of inactivity, with a warning about five minutes before. The warning only shows on the inactive tab, so work in one tab at a time and save often.

For all users: why ManageBac+ signs you out, how to avoid losing unsaved comments, and what to send Support if it keeps happening.

Why it happens

ManageBac+ signs you out after one hour of inactivity. About five minutes before, a warning asks whether you want to stay signed in.

⚠️ Several open tabs

The warning only shows on the tab that has been inactive. If you have ManageBac+ open in several tabs, an inactive tab can sign out every session, and unsaved comments in your other tabs are lost.

Checks to run

  • Work in one ManageBac+ tab at a time.
  • Refresh the page after a long pause, before you start typing again.
  • Look for the Auto-Saved message before you leave a page.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Update your browser to the latest version.
  • Allow pop-ups and third-party cookies for ManageBac+.

If it keeps happening

Submit a request and include:

  • your browser and its version
  • whether it also happens away from the school network
  • the date and time it happened
  • the class and task you were working on
  • a screen recording, if you can
