Marking DP Term Grades
Via Classes > Gradebook > Term Grades
Selecting Term Grades will allow you to see your students' overall progress as reference. Click on each student's name to enter in the final Grade (1-7).
On the right navigation panel, you can edit the Term Grade Scales for the class, which will affect all tasks and term grades. Click on the pencil Edit icon on the bottom to edit the scores and marks.
Click on the Progress Charts button under View Options to bring up progress bars for grades across each task of the Current Term or Academic Year.
These are the final grades which appear on reports. The grades and comments here are not visible to parents or students.
Text comments can include formatting options like headers or right to left text with format buttons at the top of each comment box.

MYP - Term Gradebook overview

Selecting the Term Grades tab will also allow you to see your students' overall progress across all criteria. Click on the Show Progress Charts button under View Options to bring up progress bars for grades across each task of the Current Term or Academic Year. Teachers should then use their best fit judgment to give an overall assessment of Criteria A, B, C, D.
Assessing a Criteria-based Task & Submitting MYP Term Grades
By clicking on each student, you will be able to enter final criterion achievement levels (e.g. 7 for Criterion A) along with comments. ManageBac will automatically sum and convert the criterion marks into the final MYP 1-7 grade. This can then be optionally correlated to a particular local grade (e.g. A, B+).
MYP - Interdisciplinary Assessment
Via > Gradebook > Term Grades
MYP interdisciplinary criteria can be assessed via the class Gradebook > Term Grades tab. Tick the ID Assessment box under View Options to enable the 4 ID criteria for assessment. Please note that all four criteria must be assessed in order for a total ID sum to be calculated, otherwise the ID sum will appear as N/A.
Note that the student's ID Assessment scores are shared among all classes that the student is in. Teachers can see when the ID Assessment was last updated and by whom beneath the ID Criteria.
MYP - Approaches to Learning Assessment
In order for teachers to assess the Approaches to Learning, this first must be enabled by an administrator via Settings > IB Middle Years > Assessment > Assessment Models > Tick the box for Approaches to Learning.
Via the Class Term Gradebook, teachers can choose which ATL skills they wish to evaluate for term by clicking Manage ATL Skills to evaluate on the right navigation panel.
Once they've selected the ATL skills they wish to grade; Teachers can then see the ATL Skills in the gradebook that were chosen to be assessed. The dropdown for the menu options for each student's ATL skills will be there for Teachers to either Mark All As to mark all of that student's ATL skills with one grade or grade them separately.

Note: Pre-requisites for Term Grades assessment:
- Classes must be created, with both students & teachers added as members.
- Term Grades Assessment Framework will need to be configured by an admin. To read more, click here.
via your class > Gradebook > Term Grades.
Click the student's name to switch students. Select the Term dropdown to change the academic term that grades are added to, or view grades from a previous term in the same year.

PYP - Single Subject Assessment
The scope & sequence enabled in the unit plans taught during the selected term will then appear for assessment. Only what is assessed will appear in reports, un-assessed outcomes will not be shown on reports.
For subjects with scope & sequence organised by Phase, you will see the phases beneath the subject name.
If scope & sequence items are missing from the gradebook, navigate back to the unit planners taught in the term and enable any missing scope & sequence items. See Creating a Unit of Inquiry for further guidance.
- If Allow teachers to choose which standards to assess in their class has been enabled in setting up Assessment settings, teachers will not see a list of outcomes covered in unit plans they are teaching. Instead, they will see a Edit button:
- Clicking Edit will show a list of all scope & sequence for all subjects & year levels, so teachers can select which outcomes should be assessed on:
- At the bottom of the page, teachers will be asked if they wish to apply these changes to all classes with this subject enabled, or if they wish to make it specific to that classroom. To standardize the gradebooks for all classes in a year level with that subject, select the first option. You can see which classes the changes will be synced to in list form:
PYP - Approaches to Learning Assessment
ATLs enabled in the units taught during the term will appear for assessment in the term gradebook, along with a comment box with text formatting options.
PYP - Learner Profile Assessment
Learner Profiles enabled in the units taught during the term will appear for assessment in the term gradebook, along with a comment box with text formatting options.
Note: If your term gradebook is not configured to your assessment needs, please have your PYP Coordinator or Administrator adjust your assessment settings.
