Assessing Individual Oral Activities

Via the Classes Tab

First, go to the Classes tab and select your class from the list. Language classes will have an Orals tab specifically designed to record and mark commentaries and oral activities. Clicking the Orals tab will bring you to a roster of your students. If the page header says Commentary, you can change it to Presentation by selecting it from the View list.

Clicking a student's name from the list will lead you to the Oral Activity tab. Tick the box next to the work being presented, choose the date of the recording, and make sure the teacher's name is correct. If you are doing this before the presentation, you can click Save Changes under the first form and leave the page without doing the Assessment.

Once you are ready to assess, use the preset rubric to give a numeric mark, and use the Comments section below to add any comments. Once you are finished, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Finally, Managebac can automatically fill in the official IB Internal assessment record form for you if you click Export to IA in the sidebar. This will lead you to a printable form filled in with the relevant information.
