Help Tutorials, Quickstart Guides and Resources to help you make the most of ManageBac.
Marking your tasks is quick and easy. Under your Gradebook tab, you can click Tasks, which will allow you to access your grades.
On the top pane, you can select specific tasks. By clicking on a task, you can select each student's achievement level for each criterion, which will automatically fill in the descriptors box.
After clicking on a selected task, you can also view charts offering a visual representation of how each student has progressed by criterion and task over the course of the term.
All grades & comments entered via the Tasks tab are automatically visible to the students and parents on their accounts.
Note that the unit planner will show all tasks associated with it. This means that there may be multiple tasks from another class of the same subject appearing in your unit planner. The radials on the PDF planner show the class mean of the criteria marks given in the Term Grades of the Gradebook.
Click on the Term Grades tab of the Gradebook to enter in final grades. These are the final grades which appear on reports. The grades and comments here are not visible to parents or students.
By clicking on each student, you will be able to enter final criterion achievement levels (e.g. 7 for Criterion A) along with comments. ManageBac will automatically sum and convert the criterion marks into the final MYP 1-7 grade. This can then be optionally correlated to a particular local grade (e.g. A, B+).
Added assessment will be saved automatically. If your school has Reports enabled on your account, these grades can be used by an Admin (i.e. MYP Coordinator) to generate term reports.
MYP interdisciplinary criteria can be assessed via the class Gradebook > Term Grades tab, tick the Show ID Assessment Effort checkbox. Please note that all four criteria must be assessed in order for a total ID sum to be calculated, otherwise the ID sum will appear as N/A.
Note that the student's ID Assessment scores are shared among all classes that the student is in. Teachers can see when the ID Assessment was last updated and by whom beneath the ID Criteria.
