Once a container is active (i.e. the events have been generated) sometimes, you may want to add events or extend the events for groups within a container. This may be because the container was set up incorrectly initially, or maybe the term has been extended for a few more weeks.
To add more events
- Click on Activities & Clubs (this maybe labelled differently for your organisation)
- Click on the tab for your Preference Based containers
- Click on Manage for the group to which you wish to add events
- Click on the Groups tab
- If necessary, you can Search a group
- Click Add events
You will then be presented with a screen to add the new dates. Please note that you can only Add Events for future dates after the original Activities end date of the container when events were generated or from today's date, whichever is later, i.e. you cannot Add Events for previous dates.
Please note that if there are any linked events for an Active group, then you will need to add events for all the days. For example, if the group is on a Monday and has a linked day for Wednesday, then events would have to be added for Monday and then again for Wednesday.
Be careful to choose the correct day of the week, times etc.
Once you are happy with the dates, times and day of the week, click Generate Events. After a couple of minutes, these events will be added to the registers and the diaries of the parents and students in this group.
