ManageBac Classes must be linked with Academic Terms so that schools can maintain several academic years records and generate historical report cards.
IB DP classes can run for up to 2 academic years while other all other programme classes can run for up to 1 academic year. Classes will automatically archive once their duration is complete so there is no further need to transition classes from one academic year to the next.
Classes can be linked to academic terms by navigating to your ManageBac Home Page > Classes > More Options > Bulk Assign Terms.
1. Filter by Programme > Grade > Subject.
2. Configure start & end terms for each class one by one or all at once by configuring the top class of the page and clicking the arrow down icon to 'Select the Academic Term in all dropdowns below'. Click Save Changes when completed for each page.
You can change a classes duration via the class settings.
Navigate to the class Overview tab > click Edit Class Settings > edit the start and end term dropdowns and click Save Changes.
Remember IB DP classes can run for 2 academic years while all other classes can only run for 1 academic year.
